Congratulations to Khadir, Olivia, Amere, Valencia and all the other students of Spade Valley high school you have received your diploma and what the world has deemed the minimum education required to live in human society . You have earned the right to pat yourself on the back because you memorized how to count, read, write, and problem solve. I'm probably not the first to tell you congratulations .I believe it would be safe to assume I'm not the first to bring up the favorite question everyone like to ask after the ceremony either. What's Next? More school or straight into the work force either or, I can be sure that you will enter your next steps unprepared .I'm sure that this is the case because there has never been a school that has taught why, Why humans do what they do and how did they get that way . The minimum 12 years to receive the ability of memorization but never to memorize all actions have a cause deeper then genetics is the norm. Never to memorize, self growth requires self awareness or how to really value ones self without monetary value or diamond like gems but with the intellectual gems that build ones character and gives them substance . There has never been a degree that guaranteed that you can will learn the knowledge that comes with mastering self awareness, influences, upbringing, traumas, relationships, fears and values . There has never been a ceremony that congratulates the graduates on learning the mental and physical tools of life and how to use them .
