Technically speaking, casseroles are French food or French peasant countryside food. They were often made with whatever leftovers you could find in the fridge or pantry or whatever you could harvest from the fields that day. They were never particularly fancy or difficult to make. In fact, they've always been quite the opposite, and ours aren't even French! The best part about them is also that they serve a relatively large number of people depending on your choice of ingredients.
We don't know how many people you're cooking for, but casseroles are your best bet when it comes to cooking for a crowd or even a very hungry party of one (yourself!). With the right ingredients, all you need to do is chop and toss them into a glass baking dish and cook or bake your casserole with little to no effort. So, what are you waiting for?
