An outlaw is stalking the town of Pine Ridge bringing danger to its citizens.
Tanya Furness finds herself on the wrong end of a bullet. Walking home with her sister Debbie should've been simple but they are attacked by the bandit and stranded.
Miner Ed Nelson hears a gunshot and rides to Tanya and Debbie's rescue. Ed brings them to his ranch and sweetly tends to Tanya. He can't stand to see a woman hurt and is determined to hunt down this evil man with his brother the Sheriff.
Tanya is falling for Ed but isn't sure how to tell him. She may not have the opportunity when a man arrives demanding her hand in marriage and saying that he has already paid for her.
